What is the schedule like for a Portrait Party?

2-3 weeks before the party…

We will meet with host(ess) and go over all details (i.e. where we will set up etc...) answering any questions you may have. During this time you will need to establish a theme and mail out invitations: inviting 5-12 guests with RSVP's through our website.

Each party will need on average 3-6 hours depending on number of guests.

Each guest will receive a private mini-portrait session.

All appointments should be scheduled with 15 minute intervals between each mini-session.

Remind your guests of their appointments with a courtesy reminder phone call the day before. Be sure to let your guests know which background you will be using, so they can dress appropriately. Color, black & white, sepia or specialty-toned prints are available from any image. Encourage them to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled time. We will call you periodically to be sure everything is on schedule.

The day of the party…

We will arrive 1-2 hours before the event to set up the session area and equipment. It is best for the session area to be located in a room away from the rest of the party (prevents the children from being distracted). An area of 10'x12' is more than sufficient space for shooting the photo session, but 8'x10' is the absolute minimum.

Please plan on visiting with any guests who'd like to stay and chat AFTER their session. If the little ones start playing before the session, it will be harder to settle them down for their portraits!

Get yourself and family ready for portraits. Keep in mind that dark solid colors and long sleeves look better in portraits and are more flattering. Matching or color coordinated clothing in groups photograph best.

As guests arrive see that they receive an information brochure. Help keep track of time and stay on schedule by reminding each guest 5 minutes before it is their turn to be photographed. The guests can view their proofs online approximately 3-5 days after the event. Proofs will be available for viewing/ordering for 21 days after the event unless otherwise coordinated with LenzCap.
